Allomyrina Dichotoma Lectin Production Service

Allomyrina Dichotoma Lectin Production Service

Composition of Allomyrina dichotoma Agglutinin (Allo A)

Allo A is divided into the lectins Allo A-I and Allo A-II, which have strong N-acetyllactosamine (Galβ1-4GlcNAc)-binding activity. Allo A is formed from three subunits (α, β, and γ), with Allo A-I comprising α and γ subunits and Allo A-II comprising β and γ subunits. Allo A is a C-type lectin specific for α-D-galactose containing oligosaccharides similar to the binding specificity of human lectins such as the asialoglycoprotein receptor. Hemagglutinating the activity of Allo A-I and Allo A-II is inhibited only by β-linked D-galactoses such as lactose and lactulose.

Allo A Production Service at CD BioGlyco

Lectins are key to helping researchers dissect, describe, and capture complex carbohydrates in biological systems. Therefore, production, purification, and detection of lectins are essential. CD BioGlyco provides professional Allo A production and activity analysis services.

  • Allo A extraction service

The extraction process is to improve the solubility of the protein by optimizing the factors affecting the protein solubility under the condition of ensuring the biological activity of the target material. Our production process is optimized by adjusting various parameters of the extraction process, including pH, temperature, extracting time, buffer system, etc., to produce high yield and high stability Allo A.

  • Allo A purification service

Allo A is a protein or glycoprotein in terms of its chemical nature, and it also has the property of specific and reversible binding to glycogroups. Therefore, we provide affinity chromatography and gel filtration methods for the isolation and purification of the Allo A. Each step of the process of purification is strictly detection, to produce high purity, high activity, and intact target lectin.

  • Activity analysis service

Applications of Allo A

  • The Allo A affinity chromatography is useful for isolating markers in the carbohydrate-deficient transferrin (CDT) test, because of its high sensitivity and high specificity for detection of the CDT-Allo A isoforms in sera.
  • Allo A is a useful lectin for some applied studies detecting N-acetyllactosamine.
  • The Allo A has mitogenic properties on lymphocytes that induces a cell to begin cell division.
  • Allo A columns provide a method to break down mixtures of N-linked oligosaccharides into single components.

CD BioGlyco has always adhered to the client-centric principle and provides a range of Lectin Production Services. Specifically, we provide high-purity Plant Lectin Production ServicesAnimal Lectin Production Services, and Fungal Lectin Production Services. We have already had many successful analysis cases and won unanimous praise from clients. Please feel free to contact us if you would like to learn more about the production of Allo A lectin.
