Potassium Chloride and Glucose Injection Analysis Service

Potassium Chloride and Glucose Injection Analysis Service

Delving Deep into Solutions for Safer Research Trips with Potassium Chloride and Glucose Injection Analysis

Potassium chloride and glucose injection is a sterilized aqueous solution of potassium chloride and glucose, which is a clear colorless, or slightly yellow liquid. It belongs to the electrolyte supplementation drugs and has a good therapeutic effect on hypokalemia caused by various reasons. With rich experience in Pharmaceutical and Biological Analysis, CD BioGlyco provides clients with comprehensive potassium chloride and glucose injection analysis.

  • Potassium chloride and glucose injection identification
We slowly add the sample to be identified to a warm alkaline copper tartrate solution and if a red cuprous oxide precipitate is produced, the sample is potassium chloride and glucose injection.
  • pH analysis
Utilize a pH meter to measure the pH of potassium chloride and glucose injection. Theoretically, its pH should be 3.5 to 6.5.
  • Potassium chloride content analysis
Titration: Dextrin solution and fluorescent yellow indicator solution are added to potassium chloride and glucose injection and titrated with silver nitrate solution. When the color changes, stop the titration. Calculate the mass of potassium chloride from the amount of silver nitrate used.
  • Glucose content analysis
The mass of glucose contained in the injection is calculated by testing the spinometer of potassium chloride and glucose injection.
  • Impurity (5-hydroxymethylfurfural) analysis
We accurately weigh a small amount of potassium chloride and glucose injection, dilute it with water, and test its absorbance using an ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer. The absorbance of the potassium chloride and glucose injection standard should not exceed 0.25.
  • Heavy metal analysis
Acetate buffer is added to the potassium chloride and glucose injection. The heavy metals contained in it are analyzed by comparing the color of the solution and the color of different heavy metal ion solutions respectively.
  • Osmolality molar concentration analysis
The osmotic pressure molar concentration of potassium chloride and glucose injection is indirectly determined by measuring the decrease in freezing point of the injection, a process that is primarily accomplished using an osmotic pressure molar concentration meter.

In addition to the above analysis, we develop potassium chloride and glucose injection analysis programs according to the needs of our clients.

Publication Data

Technology: Headspace gas chromatography (HS-GC)

Journal: Journal of Chromatography A

IF: 4.1

Published: 2017

Results: An automated technique is presented for the rapid detection of glucose content in glucose injections by reactive HS-GC. The method and core of this assay is the oxidation reaction of glucose with potassium dichromate. Within this reaction, carbon dioxide gas is produced, which can be quantitatively detected by GC. It was found that the relative standard deviation (RSD) of the technique was within 2.91% and the relative difference between the actual and measured values of glucose content in glucose injection was less than 6.45%. The HS-GC technique can be used for the batch determination of glucose contents in applications related to glucose injection.
