Gadobenate Dimeglumine Injection Analysis Service

Gadobenate Dimeglumine Injection Analysis Service

We Provide Reliable Gadobenate Dimeglumine Injection Analysis for Our Clients

CD BioGlyco offers complete analytical services for Pharmaceutical studies. Gadobenate dimeglumine injection is used for magnetic resonance imaging of the liver and central nervous system. With our extensive experience in Pharmaceutical and Biological Analysis, we offer a very comprehensive gadobenate dimeglumine injection analysis service. Our analytical techniques include thin-layer chromatography (TLC), high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), ultraviolet-visible (UV-vis) spectroscopy, etc.

  • Analytical methods at CD BioGlyco
    • TLC is a versatile separation method widely used for sample identification and quantification. It is used to analyze almost any class of substances.
    • HPLC is a commonly used method for drug analysis, which is characterized by good separation, rapidity, high detection sensitivity, detection automation, etc.
    • UV-vis spectroscopy is a commonly used method for identification, impurity checking, and quantitative determination.
  • Analyzed items at CD BioGlyco
    • Clarity and color: We use UV-vis spectroscopy to measure the absorbance at 450 nm.
    • Detection of related substances: The content of impurities, sodium pyruvate, and benzyl alcohol is detected by HPLC.
    • Identification of gadobenate dimeglumine injection: The content of gadobenate dimeglumine is detected by TLC to identify the sample.
    • Determination of content:
      • Gadobenic acid: HPLC is used to determine the content in the samples using octylamine solution-acetonitrile as the mobile phase.
      • N-Methylglucamine: After diluting the sample with water, we detect its content by spin chromatography.
    • Other items: Trait observation, heavy metal content detection, bacterial endotoxin detection, free acid, and free gadolinium content detection, etc.

Results: In the present study, gadobenate dimeglumine was injected into diseased mice, and the recovery of gadobenate ion after drug administration was analyzed by HPLC to detect the protective mechanism of the organism against impaired renal function. The results showed that the gadobenate ion in plasma was less than 0.12% of the injected dose at 8 hours after injection. Urinary excretion of gadobenate ion was significantly higher than that of normal rats. The results suggest that gadobenate ion is eliminated through urinary or hepatobiliary pathways in rats with impaired renal function.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is gadobenate dimeglumine injection used for?
Gadobenate dimeglumine injection is a magnetic resonance imaging contrast agent for the liver and central nervous system that is used to help create a clear image of the body during a scan. It enhances the detection of damage compared to unenhanced magnetic resonance images.
  • What are some of the factors to keep in mind when developing HPLC assays?
    • Solubility studies: Determine the solubility profile and maximum absorption wavelengths.
    • Chromatographic condition selection: Determine the column, mobility, and injection sample based on the results of the solubility study, retention time of the compound, and other information.
    • Determination of gradient or isocratic mode
    • Optimization of chromatographic conditions to improve separation: Achieve proper separation by changing mobility composition, buffer salts, pH, column, flow rate, temperature, etc.
