By separating and introducing the glycan into the mass spectrometer by HPLC, a mass spectral profile of the glycan is obtained, which makes it possible to determine the information regarding the structure, modifications, and fragmentation patterns of the glycan to be determined.
  • High-throughput glycan structure analysis
    We isolated the glycans by HPLC technique and then analyzed the samples collected by fractionation by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). Multiple samples can be processed quickly using an automated NMR analysis system. Subsequent data analysis is performed to obtain information on the chemical structure within the glycan molecules, such as linkage patterns, bond lengths, and functional groups.
