Chondroitin Sulfate Sodium Analysis Service

Chondroitin Sulfate Sodium Analysis Service

Unlocking the Secrets of Chondroitin Sulfate Sodium with Precision Analysis

Chondroitin sulfate sodium is primarily the sodium sulfate salt produced by the copolymerization of N-acetylgalactosamine and D-glucuronic acid. Chondroitin sulfate sodium is a white or off-white powder with a slightly salty odor. As a company focused on glycobiology research, CD BioGlyco provides efficient, accurate, and comprehensive chondroitin sulfate sodium analysis services.

  • Identification
Infrared spectrometry: We compare the infrared spectrogram of chondroitin sulfate sodium with the infrared spectrogram of the sample to be identified. If the positions and intensities of the peaks in the two spectrograms are the same, it means that this sample is chondroitin sulfate sodium.
  • Specific rotation
The chondroitin sulfate sodium is dissolved in water and its specific rotation is tested using a spinometer.
  • Acidity
We test its pH using a pH meter. Chondroitin sulfate sodium should have a pH of 6.0-7.0.
  • Clarity and color of the solution
The chondroitin sulfate sodium to be tested is fully dissolved in water. Next, we will observe the state of the solution under the naked eye.
  • Loss on drying
We place chondroitin sulfate sodium in a hot environment for drying to analyze its loss on drying.
  • Nitrogen content
Titration is performed using strong acid and the nitrogen content of chondroitin sulfate sodium can be calculated based on the consumption of strong acid.
  • Sulphate
We dissolve the chondroitin sulfate sodium components in water and compare the color of the chondroitin sulfate sodium solution to a standard potassium sulfate solution against a black background. If the colors match, chondroitin sulfate sodium contains other sulfates.

In addition, in the pharmaceutical field, chondroitin sulfate sodium also be made into chondroitin sulfate sodium tablets and chondroitin sulfate sodium capsules. CD BioGlyco also provides clients with analysis services for chondroitin sulfate sodium tablets and chondroitin sulfate sodium capsules based on the analysis method of chondroitin sulfate sodium.

Results: The authors prepared chondroitin sulfate sodium chitosan nanoparticles using an electrostatic spraying technique. Then, the effect of different raw material weight ratios and pH on the slow release rate of the product was researched using an ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer. The experimental results showed that the cumulative release rate of these particles was dependent on pH. The cumulative release rate of nanoparticles was higher at pH 6.8 than at pH 1.2. Then, by optimizing the process parameters, the authors further developed chondroitin sulfate sodium chitosan composite particles, most of which can be released in the intestine through the stomach.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are the functions of chondroitin sulfate sodium?
Chondroitin sulfate sodium is an acidic mucopolysaccharide, which is one of the important components in eye tissues and has the effect of promoting and improving corneal water metabolism, so it can be used to improve the symptoms of eye dryness and fatigue. Chondroitin sulfate sodium can also be used to inhibit the symptoms of neuropathic headache, trigeminal neuralgia, coronary heart disease, angina pectoris, myocardial ischemia, cardiovascular and cerebral vascular diseases, arthralgia, atherosclerosis, and hepatitis. On the other hand, chondroitin sulfate sodium can form a porous hydrated gel that provides mechanical support for tissues and supports rapid diffusion of water-soluble molecules and cell migration.
  • How is chondroitin sulfate sodium prepared?
Chondroitin sulfate sodium is a chemical that is usually obtained by reacting chondroitin with sulfuric acid to form chondroitin sulfate, which in turn reacts with sodium salt to obtain sodium chondroitin sulfate.
