Results: This article presents an enhanced liquid chromatography technique for examining tylosin and its impurities. The method employed an HPLC and a C18 column with methanol and water as mobile phases and was detected by a UV detector. The sensitivity and selectivity of this method are significantly high, enabling precise determination of both the tylosin content and its impurities. The method was able to separate all known components and 22 unknown impurities. The article mainly discussed the optimization conditions, method validation, and application scope of the method. The method is more selective than the European Pharmacopoeia method and previously reported methods.
