Glucose Metabolism-Microenvironment Crosstalk Analysis in Cancer

The tumor microenvironment is a general term for the living environment around tumor cells, mainly including tumor cells, non-tumor cells, cytokines, growth factors, and extracellular vesicles. Cancer is currently believed to be not only a disease in which cells proliferate indefinitely but also a disorder of the microenvironment. Interactions between cancer cells and the tumor microenvironment are closely related to alterations in cancer glucose metabolism at various stages of cancer progression. Therefore, studying the mechanism of crosstalk between the tumor microenvironment and the level of glucose metabolism in cancer cells is an important area of cancer research.
