  • Preliminary purification: The extract is initially purified by filtration, ultrafiltration, ion exchange, and other methods.
  • Chromatography: The initially purified sample is further separated by gel chromatography, and different lectins are separated according to their molecular weight. The gel chromatography-purified sample is subjected to affinity chromatography with carbohydrate chains or polysaccharides to further purify the lectins.
  • Spectral analysis: Structural analysis of the purified lectin is carried out through the spectral analysis method.
