Protein Precipitation-based GSL Purification Service

Protein Precipitation-based GSL Purification Service

In biochemical preparations, precipitation is the main method used when concentrating the target product or removing non-essential components that remain in the liquid phase or precipitate in the solid phase. CD BioGlyco provides glycosphingolipids (GSLs) purification services based on protein precipitation.

Principle of Protein Precipitation

The protein solution stability cannot be maintained without the hydration film on the particle surface and the uniform charge on the surface of the colloidal particles. Protein precipitation is a common separation method. It is based on disrupting the hydration of protein molecules or weakening the homogeneous intermolecular repulsion factor, resulting in a reduction of protein solubility in water, followed by protein becoming solid and precipitating. Therefore, to purify small biomolecules from a mixture, this method is often used to remove unwanted proteins. Protein precipitation also be utilized to purify GSLs, but GSLs are not easily soluble in water and also tend to bind with other biomolecules such as proteins, which makes it more difficult to purify. Protein precipitation precipitates GSLs by precipitating proteins at the same time, and the precipitated particles can be separated by centrifugation operation, and the pure GSLs will be in the supernatant.

Protein Precipitation-based GSL Purification Service

CD BioGlyco has advanced purification technologies and extensive experience in protein precipitation-based GSL purification. We provide you with customized purification services for GSLs based on your samples, our services include but are not limited to:

  • Protein precipitation-based GSL purification service based on salinization
  • Neutral salts have a significant effect on the solubility of proteins, so we use neutral salt solutions such as ammonium sulfate to adjust the solubility of proteins to make them precipitate. This service does not disrupt the natural state of proteins and allows for the recovery of both GSLs and precipitated proteins.

  • Protein precipitation-based GSL purification service based on polyethyleneimine precipitation
  • Polyethyleneimine protein precipitation service has the advantages of high adhesion, high adsorption, and high reactivity, enabling provide you with fast service.

  • Protein precipitation-based GSL purification service based on organic solvents
  • Isoelectric precipitation service
  • Thermal precipitation service
  • This service is used to selectively remove certain proteins that are not heat resistant and are easily denatured at certain pH values.

Applications

  • Structural studies on GSLs
  • Immunological research
  • Antigen epitope studies

Advantages of Us

  • High resolution
