Alexa Fluor 555 Dye

Alexa Fluor 555 has the effect of a fluorochrome. It is a fluorescent dye with an absorption wavelength of 555 nm and a transmitting wavelength of 565 nm, which derives from 3,6-diaminoxanthene-4,5-disulfate. Alexa Fluor 555 dye molecules can be connected to the protein with Gauocobi. The dye will not have obvious self-quenching, thereby achieving brighter coupling and more sensitive testing.

The Importance of Methods for Site-Specifically Labeling Antibodies

Monoclonal antibodies are a unique class of tumor-targeting drugs that specifically recognize cell surface antigens, including cancer biomarkers. Many therapeutic monoclonal antibodies have been used to target and treat a wide range of diseases. Targeted applications often involve labeled antibodies. However, conjugation has the potential to disrupt antigen binding or the overall conformation and efficacy of the molecule as a tumor-targeting agent. To address this problem, methods for site-specifically labeling antibodies have been pursued.

Site-Specific Antibody Conjugation with Alexa Fluor 555 at CD BioGlyco

Antibodies labeled with small molecules such as fluorophores, biotin, or drugs play an important role in various fields of biological research, drug discovery, and diagnostics.

CD BioGlyco offers a method for the specific conjugation of antibodies labeled with Alexa Fluor 555. This technology specifically conjugates Alexa Fluor 555 to conserved N-linked glycosylation sites on the CH2 domain of each heavy chain of the Fc region. The bifunctionality of the conjugate is demonstrated by the observed antigen specificity of the antibody as well as the unique fluorescence spectrum of conjugated Alexa Fluor 555.
