  • Extraction and purification services of TKA

We use the buffer salt extraction method to optimize the extraction process continuously and adjust the solution ratio to the salt concentration. Optimize the extraction time to provide clients with the highest quality lectin extraction process in the shortest time. It should be noted that our extraction steps are all conducted under 4°C. Moreover, we provide a combination of DEAE-agarose gel column and chromatography to purify lectin, which is a prerequisite for elucidating their chemical properties and biological activities.

  • Purity and molecular weight determination

At CD BioGlyco, we use a microporous membrane filter to filter the lyophilized powder solution and purified TKA based on the above method. Then, the purity of TKA is analyzed by sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) and stained with coomassie brilliant blue (CBB). Moreover, our trained staff provides molecular weight analysis by matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization-time-of-flight mass spectrometry.

  • TKA activity

Applications of TKA

  • TKA exerts a hypoglycemic effect in alloxan-induced diabetic mice.
  • TKA causes the inhibition of the Notch signaling pathway and increases the proportion of M2 macrophages, thereby alleviating the deterioration of kidney structure and function.
  • TKA significantly increased the viability and inhibited apoptosis in high glucose-treated HK-2 cells. In vivo experiments demonstrated that TKA attenuated the histopathological damage and inflammatory response in rat kidney tissue induced by Streptozotocin.
