Properties
Description
Acrylamide-PEG-mannose, alternatively called mannose-PEG-acrylamide, is a synthetic reagent prepared by attaching mannose via a 20 kDa PEG spacer to an acrylamide termination. This hybrid combines mannose's specificity, PEG's hydrophilicity, and acrylamide's polymerization capability.
Molecular Weight
PEG: 20 kDa
Functional Group
Acrylamide
Form
Solid or viscous liquid
Impurities
No visible impurities to the naked eye.
Solubility
This product is soluble in most organic solvents, such as DCM, DMF, DMSO, and THF, and exhibits excellent solubility in water.
Applications
Mannose-PEG-acrylamide can be used to develop reversible hydrogel systems through vinylsulfone-cysteine redox cycling.
