FA-PEG-mannose, alternatively called mannose-PEG-folic acid, is a synthetic reagent prepared by attaching mannose via a 20 kDa PEG spacer to a folic acid termination. This hybrid combines mannose's specificity, PEG's hydrophilicity, and folic acid's receptor affinity.
