Some lectins trigger mitogenic activities in differentiated or resting cells. These lectins do not cause toxicity. A right concentration of affinity-purified Maackia amurensis lectin I+II (MAL-I+II) is provided in a sterile solution for stimulating cells that respond to the lectin.
