Description

This specialized formulation features single-component rigid anionic vesicles composed entirely of tetramyristoyl cardiolipin (TMCL). The structural matrix consists of a tetra-acyl diphphosphatidylglycerol framework containing four short, saturated myristoyl chains, which self-assembles into a tightly packed gel-phase bilayer matrix at ambient temperature with a defined main phase transition temperature of approximately 40ºC. This uniform saturated composition provides maximum physical resistance against water penetration and allows for the precise evaluation of chain-length dependencies on membrane permeability and rigidity.
