Description
This specialized formulation features single-component fluid anionic vesicles composed entirely of tetraoleoyl cardiolipin (TOCL). The structural matrix consists of a unique tetra-acyl diphphosphatidylglycerol framework containing four unsaturated oleoyl chains, which imparts high membrane fluidity and a negative charge density at room temperature. This configuration creates an advanced biomimetic model for studying localized lipid packing defects, curvature strain, and protein-lipid interactions typical of mitochondrial inner membranes.
