Description
This high-purity synthetic single-lipid formulation features erucoylphosphatidylcholine liposomes (22:1 (cis) PC liposomes). The vesicular matrix self-assembles entirely from the symmetric, long-chain monounsaturated lipid dierucoylphosphatidylcholine (22:1 (cis) PC). The presence of long C22 acyl chains containing a single cis double bond at the delta-13 position creates a thickened bilayer shell with a low phase transition temperature (Tm 13ºC), presenting a highly fluid liquid-crystalline matrix at room temperature for physical baseline analysis.
