Description

This high-purity synthetic single-lipid formulation features nervonoylphosphatidylcholine liposomes (24:1 (cis) PC liposomes). The vesicular matrix self-assembles entirely from the symmetric, ultra-long-chain monounsaturated lipid dinervonoylphosphatidylcholine (24:1 (cis) PC). The presence of ultra-long C24 acyl chains containing a single cis double bond creates a highly thickened bilayer shell with unique liquid-crystalline packing parameters and a low phase transition temperature, providing a specialized membrane template for structural mass transfer calibrations.
