Description

This product represents 5-fluorouracil galactosylceramide liposomes (5-FU-GalCer LPs) constructed with a glycolipid-enriched membrane. The structural matrix includes galactosylceramide integrated directly into a traditional phosphatidylcholine-cholesterol lipid bilayer. Hydrophilic 5-fluorouracil is encapsulated within the internal aqueous reservoir of the spherical vesicles. The presence of the galactose headgroups alters the surface topography and surface hydrophilicity of the liposomes.
