Description

This product features 7-ethyl-10-hydroxycamptothecin proliposomes [7-Ethyl-10-hydroxycamptothecin (SN-38) proliposomes] engineered as a dry, granular precursor system for the rapid generation of liposomes. The solid matrix consists of a high-surface-area carrier carbohydrate or polyol framework coated with a uniform film of dehydrated high-purity phospholipids, cholesterol, and the highly hydrophobic camptothecin derivative SN-38 (7-ethyl-10-hydroxycamptothecin). Upon hydration in an aqueous laboratory environment, this dry composition spontaneously undergoes structural remodeling, forming a self-assembled suspension of sub-micron vesicles that encapsulate the camptothecin cargo within their lipophilic hydrocarbon domains. This configuration maintains the chemical integrity of the active ingredient and prevents hydrolytic degradation during dry storage.
