Description
Silver/chitosan (Ag/chitosan) hydrogel nanofibers are composite fibrous networks with intrinsic antimicrobial potential. The composition features silver nanoparticles synthesized in situ or blended into a chitosan matrix prior to electrospinning. The structure provides a high surface area for the release of silver ions while maintaining the structural stability of the chitosan fibers.
