Description

This advanced composite formulation features anionic polysaccharide-modified cinnamaldehyde liposomes. The structural framework consists of a high-purity phospholipid vesicle core encapsulating the volatile hydrophobic phenylpropanoid cinnamaldehyde within its hydrocarbon tail core, whose exterior boundary is enveloped by an electrostatically bound outer layer of an anionic polysaccharide polymer (such as sodium alginate or carboxymethyl chitosan). This surface modification alters the surface charge topography, introduces a net negative surface potential, and establishes a dense hydrophilic steric layer around the lipid headgroups, controlling the passive volatilization or oxidation of the cinnamaldehyde cargo.
