Description

This advanced engineered photo-responsive formulation features glycoliposomes incorporating azobenzene links. The structural matrix incorporates custom synthesized amphiphilic glycolipids containing photo-reversible azobenzene spacers blended with high-purity phospholipids. Under standard laboratory yellow light indices, the azobenzene links remain in a stable trans conformation; however, exposure to ultraviolet light triggers an immediate conversion into a bulky cis conformation, causing rapid lateral phase separation, carbohydrate domain realignment, and transient membrane fluidization.
