Description
Azobenzene-incorporated hydrogels are light-responsive materials that contain photo-isomerizable chromophores. The composition features azobenzene groups that transition between cis and trans states upon exposure to specific wavelengths of light. This structural change alters the internal crosslinking density or hydrophobicity, leading to macroscopic changes in the gel properties.
