Description

This highly engineered material features bee venom polypeptide long-circulating liposomes utilizing a sterically stabilized framework. The vesicle architecture utilizes a stable phospholipid bilayer that encapsulates hydrophilic bee venom peptides (such as melittin) within its central aqueous core, while the outer surface is modified with covalently attached distearoylphosphatidylethanolamine-polyethylene glycol polymer anchors. This configuration creates a dense hydrophilic steric layer that prevents vesicle aggregation and controls the passive release behavior of the peptide cargo.
