Description

This product consists of bisdemethoxycurcumin proliposomes formulated as a solid-state dry powder precursor matrix to enhance the solubility of a natural demethoxy derivative of curcumin. The structure is composed of microcrystalline carbohydrate carriers that support a uniform layer of dehydrated phospholipids and cholesterol alongside the hydrophobic compound bisdemethoxycurcumin. This dry configuration completely prevents chemical oxidation and crystallization of the curcuminoid during extended laboratory storage. Upon exposure to an aqueous phase, the solid matrix dissolves immediately, allowing the lipid components to spontaneously form small liposomal vesicles enclosing the compound.
