Description

This high-purity synthetic biomimetic formulation features phosphatidylinositol blank liposomes functionalized with fluorescein labeled pegylated lipids. The vesicular matrix self-assembles from natural or synthetic polyanionic phosphatidylinositol (PI) lipids without containing active drug cargo, incorporating a precise molecular fraction of the green fluorophore fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) linked to the polymer-lipid anchor 1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine-N-[carbonyl-methoxy(polyethylene glycol)] (DSPE-PEG). This detailed configuration establishes an exceptionally dense, highly uniform negative surface charge topography combined with a dense protective hydrophilic steric brush layer and sharp visible fluorescence emission tracking handles, completely preventing physical vesicle aggregation.
