SU11274, soluble in DMSO and ethanol and insoluble in water, inhibits the enzymatic activity of the c-Met tyrosine kinase, the receptor of hepatocyte growth factor/scatter factor (HGF/SF), interfering with pathways leading to cell growth and metastasis. It targets Flk1, RON, CDK2, EGFR, FGFR1, MET, and PDGFRβ.
