Description

This advanced composite hydrogel material features cantharidin loaded liposomes embedded within a semi-solid polymeric matrix template. The structural framework consists of a high-purity phospholipid-cholesterol bilayer shell encapsulating the hydrophobic tricyclic anhydride cantharidin within its lipophilic hydrocarbon tail domains, entirely dispersed within a highly cross-linked viscoelastic network of a hydrophilic polymer hydrogel (such as carbomer). This secondary polymer encapsulation establishes a dense macroscopic mechanical barrier that restricts overall vesicle mobility and modifies passive mass transfer resistance, completely preventing physical vesicle aggregation and suppressing cantharidin volatilization or rapid crystallization across variable laboratory testing setups.
