Description

This advanced composite formulation features carboxymethyl chitosan and quaternary ammonium chitosan dual-polymer modified liposomes. The structural framework consists of a high-purity phospholipid vesicle core whose exterior boundary is completely enveloped by a layer-by-layer electrostatically bound complex layer of water-soluble amphoteric carboxymethyl chitosan and polycationic quaternary ammonium chitosan. This dual-polymer shell modification introduces a highly controlled surface charge profile and establishes a dense hydrophilic steric layer around the lipid headgroups, which increases overall membrane thickness and prevents physical vesicle aggregation under variable pH environments.
