Description

This composite formulation features chitosan coated and curcumin loaded liposomes. The structural matrix encapsulates the hydrophobic polyphenoid compound curcumin within its lipophilic hydrocarbon tail regions, utilizing a high-purity phospholipid vesicle core whose exterior polar boundary is enveloped by an electrostatically bound outer layer of the uncharged or cationic biopolymer chitosan. This biopolymer modification alters the natural lateral lipid packing constraints, introduces a dense protective hydration barrier, and modifies overall membrane bending elasticity, completely preventing physical vesicle aggregation while completely suppressing curcumin crystallization or rapid phase separation under ambient laboratory testing conditions.
