Description

These carbon nanotubes are functionalized with chitosan, a natural cationic polysaccharide, which enhances their dispersibility in aqueous acidic media. The chitosan coating introduces primary amine groups and hydroxyl groups along the CNT sidewalls, providing multiple sites for chemical modification. This hybrid material combines the mechanical strength of CNTs with the reactive and chelating properties of chitosan.
