Description

This formulation features curcumin polyethylene glycol modified liposomes (Cur-PEG LPs) utilizing a sterically stabilized framework. The structural matrix incorporates the hydrophobic polyphenol curcumin directly into the hydrocarbon core of a phospholipid bilayer, while the outer surface is integrated with polyethylene glycol (Cur-PEG) polymer-lipid conjugates. The integration of these specialized polymer-lipid conjugates modifies membrane curvature and introduces a dense hydrophilic steric shield on the outer boundary. This configuration prevents physical vesicle aggregation and controls the passive crystallization of the curcumin diarylheptanoid chains in open aqueous suspension.
