This specialized formulation features dimethyldioctadecylammonium bromide, distearoylphosphatidylcholine, and polyethylene glycol co-formulated liposomes (DDA-DSPC-PEG liposomes). The structural framework incorporates the synthetic cationic lipid dimethyldioctadecylammonium bromide (DDA) alongside high-purity distearoylphosphatidylcholine (DSPC) to establish a strongly positive surface charge profile and rigid bilayer packing configuration, while the external boundary is further modified with covalently attached polyethylene glycol (PEG) chains. This combination creates a dense hydrophilic steric layer that regulates surface charge density and prevents vesicle aggregation in suspension. The resulting vesicles exhibit high colloidal stability, low permeability, and a highly uniform spherical morphology.
