Description

This classic reference formulation features doxorubicin long-circulating liposomes engineered with high steric stability. The vesicular anatomy consists of a high-purity phospholipid-cholesterol bilayer shell encapsulating the water-soluble anthracycline doxorubicin (DOX) entirely within its central aqueous core via an active gradient matrix, whose outer surface is modified with dense polyethylene glycol polymer anchors. This precise surface modification introduces a dense hydrophilic steric brush layer that completely prevents physical vesicle aggregation, isolating the active core and restricting passive doxorubicin diffusion across the membrane under ambient laboratory testing conditions.
