Description

This highly complex multi-phase system features dual-ligand modified doxorubicin prodrug conjugated lipid microbubbles. The microfluidic architecture consists of a gaseous micro-core (composed of stable perfluorocarbon gases) enveloped within a monolayer shell of high-purity phospholipids and pegylated lipids that incorporates a covalently linked hydrophobic doxorubicin prodrug structure, whose outer surface is dual-modified with two distinct targeting ligands. This complex layout balances a dense dual target-mimetic array with the acoustic resonance and echogenic parameters of a compressed gas core, completely preventing gas dissolution and premature prodrug cleavage under ambient laboratory conditions.
