Description
N-Benzyl Hexadecanamide is a long-chain amide that is used in analytical chemistry as a sample preparation agent and to extract fatty acids from biological samples. It has been shown to have neuroprotective properties by reducing the uptake of glutamate and preventing neuronal cell death. N-Benzyl Hexadecanamide has also been found to prevent tumor growth and induce apoptosis in human cancer cells, which may be due to its ability to inhibit creatine kinase activity.
