Description

This formulation features emodin liposomes engineered to incorporate a hydrophobic anthraquinone derivative within a stable vesicle matrix. The structural matrix incorporates the compound emodin (1,3,8-trihydroxy-6-methylanthraquinone) directly within the lipophilic hydrocarbon tail domains of a high-purity phospholipid-cholesterol bilayer shell. This configuration prevents the rapid crystallization, phase separation, and chemical oxidation of the volatile trihydroxyanthraquinone cargo in open aqueous suspension, maintaining high colloidal stability under ambient laboratory conditions.
