Description

This highly advanced biomimetic formulation features erythrocyte glycophorin A liposomes. The macromolecular architecture consists of a stable synthetic phospholipid-cholesterol bilayer matrix engineered to express and accommodate native glycophorin A glycoprotein fragments purified directly from natural erythrocyte cell membranes. The incorporation of these natural single-pass transmembrane sialoglycoproteins (Erythrocyte glycophorin A) directs the orientation of the protein outward from the bilayer interface, presenting a dense macromolecular sialic-acid-rich array that introduces a net negative surface potential and modifies the overall surface hydration parameters.
