Description

This highly specialized formulation features gadolinium-conjugated sterically stabilized liposomes (Gd-SLs) engineered as a high-contrast analytical imaging model. The vesicle architecture incorporates a high concentration of chelating lipids bound to trivalent gadolinium (Gd3+) ions within the bilayer matrix, which is further modified with covalently attached polyethylene glycol chains. This configuration creates a dense hydrophilic steric barrier that prevents vesicle aggregation while exposing the paramagnetic gadolinium centers on the outer boundary.
