Description
Galf-GlcNAc-Galf-Galf-Gal is a pentasaccharide composed of galactose and N-acetylglucosamine. Most of the galactose residues are in the furanose (five-membered ring) form, which is rare in mammals but common in bacteria and fungi. The sequence features alternating Galf and GlcNAc units terminating in a pyranose galactose.
