Properties
Description
Glucose transporter enzyme-functionalized gold nanorods (GLUT-AuNRs) are protein-metal nanoconjugates where an anisotropic gold core is modified with glucose transporter enzyme configurations. The immobilized enzymes are oriented to expose their functional substrate-binding domains to the liquid phase. This product displays distinct optical characteristics that are highly sensitive to sugar binding events happening at the nanorod perimeter.
