Heparin methacryloyl (HepMA) hydrogels are modified glycosaminoglycan networks containing photo-crosslinkable moieties. The composition features methacrylic groups grafted onto the heparin backbone, allowing for rapid stabilization under light exposure. The structure provides a highly negatively charged environment capable of sequestering various cationic molecules.
