Description
These hydrophobically modified magnetic chitosan drug-loaded nanoparticles (Hydrophobically modified magnetic chitosan drug-loaded nanoparticles) combine an inorganic iron oxide core with an amphiphilic polysaccharide shell. The structural shell is built from a chitosan backbone grafted with long-chain fatty acids to create a dense hydrophobic inner layer. It displays dual functionalities, responding quickly to external magnetic fields while providing excellent loading capacity for non-polar compounds.
