Description

This advanced composite formulation features hydroxycamptothecin loaded chitosan hydrochloride coated nanoliposomes. The structural framework consists of a high-purity phospholipid vesicle core encapsulating the quinoline alkaloid hydroxycamptothecin within its internal aqueous core or interface, whose exterior boundary is completely enveloped by an electrostatically bound outer layer of the water-soluble cationic polymer chitosan hydrochloride. This modified carbohydrate shell introduces a robust positive surface potential and strong electrostatic repulsive forces, establishing an advanced mechanical barrier that controls the passive leakage of the alkaloid cargo while completely preventing physical vesicle aggregation in suspension.
