β-N-Acetylhexosaminidase is an exoglycosidase and cleaves all nonreducing terminal β-linked N-acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc).
Unit Definition
One unit will catalyze the release of 1 µmole of p-nitrophenol from p-nitrophenol-N-acetyl-β-D-glucosaminide per minute at pH 5.0 at 37°C.
