Description

This formulation provides irinotecan hydrochloride liposomes (CPT-11 LPs) utilizing an advanced transmembrane ion gradient loading strategy. The internal vesicular structure features an acidic aqueous core where irinotecan is precipitated as a stable sucrose octasulfate or ammonium salt complex, resulting in high encapsulation efficiency. The surrounding bilayer membrane consists of high-phase-transition phospholipids and cholesterol to form a rigid, leak-resistant structural shell. This configuration prevents the premature passive diffusion of the water-soluble hydrochloride salt.
