Description

These hybrid nanoparticles feature a metallic gold core encapsulated by a layer of magnetic iron oxide. This architecture combines the plasmonic resonance of gold with the magnetic properties of iron oxide, allowing for both optical detection and magnetic manipulation. The iron oxide shell also provides a surface that can be easily modified with various functional groups, while the gold core remains protected and optically active.
