Description

This advanced material consists of liposome-encapsulated hafnium-porphyrin quantum dots (Hf-TCPP QDs) designed with an inorganic-organic hybrid architecture. The internal structure encapsulates nanoscale hafnium-tetrakis(4-carboxyphenyl)porphyrin (Hf-TCPP) metal-organic framework quantum dots within the central aqueous compartments and interfacial layers of a high-purity phospholipid vesicle matrix. This configuration combines the distinct optoelectronic, photodynamic, and crystalline properties of the nanoscale metal-organic frameworks with the mechanical stability of a lipid bilayer shell. The surrounding lipid framework prevents quantum dot aggregation and gravitational sedimentation in laboratory test buffers.
