Description

This engineered formulation features aldehyde-functionalized liposomes (Liposomes-CHO) designed with a highly reactive interface for hydrazide or amine coupling. The vesicle architecture incorporates a stable phospholipid bilayer core whose outer surface is modified with functionalized polyethylene glycol polymer-lipid conjugates terminating in exposed, unreacted aldehyde (-CHO) groups. These active aldehyde groups modify the surface charge profile, introducing a net neutral-to-negative surface potential while providing a precise, stable chemical handle for future covalent hydrazone or reductive amination cross-linking assays without inducing vesicle aggregation.
